About Course

This course offers a detailed, step-by-step guide for choosing and successfully implementing the appropriate changes in any given situation. The course will provide students with the leadership skills and tools they need to recommend and gain support for change initiatives within communities and organizations. In order to enable students to contribute to the multiplicity and complexity of effective change in society, Leading Change course will involve students in challenging work assignments, research-based practical frameworks, as well as proven change management theories. The models, frameworks, and perspectives that the students learnt can be applied immediately in leading change

What Will You Learn?

  • • Recognize and analyse the nature of workplace, ethnic, inter-religious, community, national and international conflicts.
  • • Articulate the theoretical and practical mechanisms involve in negotiation and mediation.
  • • Analyse and understand the theoretical and practical approaches involve in conflict management and resolution.
  • • Analytically and theoretically understand the different types of conflict management models.
  • • Identify, emphasize and relate the importance of biblical principles in conflict management.
  • • Analyse, synthesize information, apply critical thought, resolve problems, and make decisions.
  • • Describe the value of effective communication skills and the role that gender and cultural differences, persuasion, perception, and power play in resolving conflicts.
  • • Describe the link between effective negotiation skills and effective leadership.
