About Course

This course offers a detailed, step-by-step guide for choosing and successfully implementing the appropriate changes in any given situation. The course will provide students with the leadership skills and tools they need to recommend and gain support for change initiatives within communities and organizations. In order to enable students to contribute to the multiplicity and complexity of effective change in society, Leading Change course will involve students in challenging work assignments, research-based practical frameworks, as well as proven change management theories. The models, frameworks, and perspectives that the students learnt can be applied immediately in leading change

  • Describe what change is and why change is important in leadership.
  • Recognize the common barriers to change in the society or organization and learn the strategies of overcoming resistance.
  • Understand the most proven change management models and the fundamental behaviours associated with each of them.
  • Develop strategy for gathering right information to produce an evidence-based approach to bringing about change.
  • Apply John Kotter’s eight-step process for effective change management and understand how to implement the cycle of change.
  • Develop the traits and skills necessary to perform the roles of a successful change leader.
