About Course

This course provides an opportunity for students to develop an understanding of what effective, ethics and task of transformational leadership entails and how to improve their leadership skills. Students will learn about and undertake the Leadership Wheel Assessment and will complete a Personal Leadership Development Plan (PLDP). The plan and the planning process are two of the essential components for students’ personal leadership success. The insights students gain, the plans that they make and the actions that they take during this course will help shape students as successful and effective future leaders. How skilful students craft and work their plans will determine how effectively they shall create and grow capacity for personal and professional success as transformed leader

What Will You Learn?

  • Personal leadership development course is designed to develop in students three key elements:
  • Self-discovery and a sincere self-reflection: This will develop in new and experienced leaders the potential to clearly articulate their leadership capacity based on a thorough examination of personal leadership style, vision, and values.
  • It will increase students’ professional influence and impact and prepare them to take advantage of opportunities to advance in their career
  • Planning and Designing: Students will be able plan and design a leadership development pathway that builds relevant skills and channels passions for a successful career. And explore a leadership development transitions including adaptably moving up and laterally, while assisting other colleagues in achieving their leadership goals.
  • Develop a successful career: Students will be able to communicate for influence and be able to bridge differences and collaborate more effectively and learn how to develop leadership skills through understanding of the complexity of issues that are essential to people of other cultures, regardless of their history, values, political viewpoints, communication styles, economy, as well as religious beliefs.
